Description
Tecumseh, the legendary Shawnee leader, is honoured in Chatham, Ontario, for his pivotal role in uniting Indigenous tribes and fighting alongside the British during the War of 1812.
This design originates from "A River Runs Through It", a large-scale mural by artist Ruth Ann Pearce, featuring three 12’ x 16’ panels installed on the east-facing wall of the River Rock Social House in downtown Chatham, Ontario. The artwork celebrates Chatham-Kent’s rich history, sports culture, and agriculture through a series of themed sections designed to inspire connection and community pride. Pearce, a graduate of OCAD and co-founder of Chatham Creative Company, brings deep local roots and artistic expertise to the project. Her mural invites viewers—whether lifelong residents or newcomers—to explore and appreciate the unique stories that shape Chatham-Kent.
Every purchase supports the wonderful Chatham-Kent and it's creative community.
